My friend Eric traveled here for the weekend and accidentally left his gray socks when he left. I have claimed them as my own! These are the adventures of Eric's socks!

Trying On New Socks!

Time Out
I have declared Eric's socks as "casual" socks to be worn around the home, and possibly, when I work out. I think Eric's socks understands their role and responsibility and have no jealousy towards my nicer work socks. However, I did notice that Eric's socks did push away some of my older white socks into the corner of my drawer. When I confronted Eric's socks, they denied any wrong doing. But I know the truth. A pair of old Nike socks told me.
I don't know if Eric's socks are used to being the "shit" back at Eric's place, but that type of behavior is unacceptable. I have put Eric's socks in the corner for a time out.

Eric is angry and a menace
Eric found out about leaving his gray socks and is quite angry. I am a little bit scared as he has a history of temper and rage. One time in middle school, he threw a bottle of rubber cement across the room because someone called his science project dumb. OK. It was me. I called his science project dumb. That was probably not the right thing to say. I was 12. Whatever.
Anyway, here is a real IM chat with eric. I do not know what to do but I will not tell Eric's socks about this. Eric's socks are very sensitive and I do not want to scare them.
Eric:
i will reclaim my socks
i will be back in october
to take back what is mine
Johnny M:
please don't threaten me
Eric:
oh its not a threat
its a promise
Johnny M:
your socks are happy with me now
you have other socks
care for them instead
you neglected these
and left them on my bathroom floor
Eric:
it doesnt matter
there are many socks in the world like it
these are mine
and once i get them back home
i will throw them in the rag pile
where they belong
for being such dirty whore socks
Johnny M:
that is a horrible thing to say

Laundry Time!
So I was a little hesitant mixing Eric's socks with my own boys, but it just didn't make economic sense to do a separate wash. Besides, by this time, they should start to make friends with my socks! They're siblings now!
Anyway, the wash went great! Eric's socks behaved so well, and all my other socks really got along with them! I'm glad to see that the family is starting to come together! Even the drying went well, and no sock was unaccounted for after the session. What a big win!
Hopefully this week, I will get a chance to try on Eric's socks to see how they perform. I'm thinking about going for a run in a few days and those socks look like they could go for a run!
